Erich W. Schleck (he/they), originally from Seattle, is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre.

Erich most recently starred as Herod in the Regent’s Open Air/50th Anniversary Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. Erich made their West End Debut in the record breaking run of Blippi the Musical after touring as Blippi in North America. They were nominated for a 2023 Olivier Award for Best Family Show.

Based in New York, they originated the role of Rodrich in Dmitry Koltunov’s Nasha America (Alchemation/CCM Incubator Project) and have made hosting and cabaret appearances at 54 Below, Frankie’s Pub, The Stonewall Inn, The Spot, The Gramercy Theatre, The Rose Room and The Q.

He has been seen regionally as Finch in Newsies, Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar (NCC Summer Theatre), Melchior in Spring Awakening, Emcee in Cabaret (Ballyhoo Theatre), and Carrie starring Alice Ripley (Balagan Theatre). He is featured on the Original Cast Recording of A Christmas Story (5th Avenue Theatre). Some favorites from CCM include The Rocky Horror Show (Riff-Raff), Yeast Nation (Jan-the-Wise), Guys and Dolls, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sondheim on Sondheim, Children of Eden and Rocket Science as Heston (CCM Incubator Project).

Erich is also an emerging choreographer whose work has been seen in Big Fish (Village Theatre), Spring Awakening, RENT, The Perfect Dog, Wizard of Oz, and Once on this Island (5th Avenue Award Recipient). He served as Connor Gallagher’s (choreographer of Broadway’s Beetlejuice) associate on The Secret Garden and his original dance show This Moment premiered at CCM during a workshop in Spring 2019.
